I can’t say that I’d blame amputees for flocking to the Mormon Gates of Heaven because they do have this wonderful doctrine that after death our bodies “… shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now…” (“The Book of Mormon,” Alma 11:43-44) Get your leg blown off in this life, don’t worry there’s still hope for you in the next. Or for burn victims you could have great looking skin again. No more worrying about people staring or trying not to stare at you in the afterlife. This is great! Right?
But what if you got a nose or boob job… would that disappear? Or could you barter with the Mormon God to let you keep it cause you didn’t really like the old one?
